Other CWMA Resources:
- The River to River Cooperative Weed Management Area in Southern Illinois has created a nice video on Japanese stiltgrass. Click here to see it. The presentations from the 2010 Stiltgrass Summit, held in Carbondale Illinois on August 11-12, 2010, are also now available at www.rtrcwma.org/stiltgrass.
- The River to River CWMA has partnered with the University of Georgia's Center for Invasive Species and Ecosystem Health to provide distribution maps for invasive species in Southern Illinois. View at: http://www.rtrcwma.org/distribution/. This project utilizes the EDDMapS national database and mapping system. (www.eddmaps.org). The maps are based on primarily a combination of data from the Shawnee National Forest, the Southern Illinois Invasive Plant Strike Team, and the Southern Illinois Weed Watch Program. If you know of infestations that you would like included on this map, then you can report sightings at: http://www.rtrcwma.org/report/.
- The 2010 annual report from the Southern Illinois Invasive Species Strike Team is also available online at http://www.rtrcwma.org/striketeamreport2010.pdf. The Central Hardwoods Invasive Plant Network (Chip-N) has completed a survey of invasive species along the Ohio River Valley and results are available at www.rtrcwma.org/chip-n. Chip-N is an informal partnership between CWMA's in the southern portions of Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio (River to River CWMA, Southern Indiana CWMA, Iron Furnace CWMA and the Southeast Ohio NNIS Interest Group.
- PowerPoint presentations, with audio, available from The National Cooperative
Weed Management Area (CWMA) Conference, April, 2008, Reno, Nevada. Click here to access. The conference focused on CWMA funding and logistics, working with volunteers, EDRR, awareness and outreach, approaches to mapping, and state and national initiatives. In addition to enjoying 27 talks by speakers from across the U.S., attendees from 37 states provided glimpses of cooperative weed management activities in their own states.
